Welcome

Last weekend we had the delicious pleasure of serving the first-of-the-season local produce: asparagus from McEnroe Organic Farm in Millerton. It was fantastic, especially since it was served on our plates all of about 12 hours after being picked.

Spring had poked it’s head into our menu already; Mark’s been cooking with spring bulb onions, green garlic, nettles, baby artichokes, etc. for a couple of weeks now. But the first local crop of the season is definitely a cause for celebration!

Mothers are a cause for celebration, too, of course, so of course we’ll be offering a nice brunch on Mother’s Day, May 13 from 11 am - 4 pm.

We’re proud to have been featured in the Travel Section of the New York Times a few months ago. Here’s the link to that wonderful article: http://travel.nytimes.com/2011/11/20/travel/at-agriturismo-mark-strausmans-farm-to-table-approach.html

As always, while we await the bounty of summer produce, we serve local meats and poultry, and we have beautiful artisanal cheeses and dairy products from right here in the neighborhood.

We  look forward to seeing you soon at Agriturismo!
